Here is a another example of an alleged contradiction in Scripture

based upon the critic’s own sloppy examination of the Bible.

Alleged contradiction:

ON SEEING GOD

"... I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved." --

Genesis

32:30

"No man hath seen God at any time..."-- John 1:18

TBC: Please note: Whoever prepared this example does not even quote

John

1:18 in its entirety. The full text goes, "No man hath seen God at any

time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he

hath declared him." The skeptic cannot publish the full text, for to do

so would raise embarrassing questions not helpful to his assertion. The

"only begotten Son," we are told has "declared" [exegeted - or fully

explained] Him. God is spirit, which according to the declaration of

Jesus, "hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have" (Luke 24:39). The

skeptic might as well have pointed to Exodus 24:10 where Moses, Aaron,

Nadab, Abihu, and seventy elders of Israel, "saw the God of Israel."

Theologians speak of the "preincarnate Christ," which concerns those

times when the "Word" (Jesus) appeared prior to his "incarnation" in

Bethlehem. Yes, no man has seen God in all His fullness, yet Jesus "declared" (or fully exegeted) God. "Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?" (John 14:9, see also John 12:45).
